Old And Crazy Laws In The United States

Did you know that if you live in Lexington, Kentucky, you’re not allowed to carry an ice cream cone in your pocket?  Weird, ain’t it? Well, that’s actually a law out there in Lexington, Kentucky.  There are definitely crazy laws out there and here are some of our favorite!

  1. It’s against the law to step out of an airplane while it’s in the air over Maine.
  2. Ninth-grade boys can’t grow mustaches in Binghamton, New York.
  3. It’s against the law to drink milk on a train passing through North Carolina.
  4. It’s illegal to spit against the wind in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan.
  5. In Lawrence, Kansas, it’s against the law to carry bees around in your hat on city streets.
  6. Oregon does not allow citizens to wipe their dishes.  They must let them drip-dry.
  7. It’s illegal to swim on dry land in Santa Ana, California.
  8. If you mispronounce “Arkansas” while you’re in that state, you’re breaking the law.
  9. It’s illegal to play cards in the road in Somerset County, Maryland.

Aren’t these laws crazy?  Well, just make sure you’re not breaking these laws when you’re in that state!
