In Mexico, there is a small island that’s filled with creepy dolls! The island is actually called “Island of the Dolls”. The story behind the creepy hanging dolls is that years ago, there was a caretaker of the island named Julian. One day, Julian found a little girl that drowned mysteriously and he was unable to save her. Right after that, he saw a doll floating around the same area. He thought the doll belonged to the little girl, so he hung it up on a tree out of respect for her. But soon after, Julian felt like he was being haunted by her spirit through the doll, so he kept hanging up more dolls to please her. He kept hanging up creepy dolls on trees for almost 50 years until, one day, he passed away. It was reported that Julian was found drowned in the same area that the little girl was found. It is also said that his spirit haunts the dolls as well. Tourists that have visited the island have reported seeing some dolls’ eyes move and some people have reported to even hear whispering among the dolls!
